Under a Tree

I am sitting here, watching the world go.
Under a shady tree, a sweet breeze blows.
Passing people are moving to and fro.
Meanwhile, the crackle of a chicken crows.
A peaceful sight is presented to me.
Sweet smells of morning, a feast for my nose!
Can the day naught end? Do I need a key?
Is there a lock which seals a door? Oh woe!
Perchance, this could not happen or can it?
My'n eyes hide themselves, from the thoughts enclosed.
Withholding memoir's are degenerate!
People change scenes, which are twice imposed.
I cannot instill changes within thee.
Nor, the sun, moon, stars, earth and sky
-only me.

Why thank you tsilo
I'm glad you like this poem...or rather sonnet.
I find writing within rules is hard to accomplish..but this particular piece came out very nice...
I love to sit somewhere and watch people go by and wonder what they are thinking or off to. In this way I felt this peom was a part of me. Thank you again
